Mates Harley with the D700 & 28-70 f/2.8...
Ok, here I was sitting on a bench in my front yard playing with some of the settings on the D700 when an old mate stops by...
And he's on his Harley...
Well I figure here's a photo opportunity to try a few shots with my D700...
So just before he leaves I grab the camera and fire off a few shots...
Well I'm pretty happy with the results, not the best composition, but just wanted to try to see the IQ and what characteristics I'd have to watch out for in the future..
The first thing noticed is even at f/4 the D700 seems to have a much narrow DOF than with my D300. My goodness, what's f/1.8 or wider going to be like...
It just felt as I could do nothing wrong with the metering though...
Here are just a couple of shots of the Harley in my driveway, and OK, before someone says something, I know I chopped of the tail a little... Damn it...

I'm not a Harley person but if I were to buy one it would be a Fat Boy just like that.
