Nikon 70-300mm VR f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED AF-S....

Well I got this lens in Mid November to use as a light weight zoom. I have an assortment of PRO level lenses that are simply superb, but are extremely heavy to carry around all day... Gee, I must be getting to be an ol' fart...

Anyway, my 80-200 f2.8 would be a very hard lens to beat for IQ, and the 70-300VR doesn't, but can still produce some extremely high quality images. I will show below an array of shots I took, and also a few with the Kenko 1.4x PRO300 TC attached to it...
I was very pleasantly surprised that first it work with this slow lens, but also it had no trouble focusing, but it was in day light hrs. The quality of the shots was quiet acceptable...
My initial thoughts... I think I'm gonna like this lens... Light weight (half the weight of the 80-200 f/2.8), and giving me IQ that is more than acceptable and all this for a bargain price for this level of lens...

Nikon 70-300vr...
I have to say that I was pleasantry surprised on how good the Bokeh (Yeah I hate that word too) was from this lens....

Nikon 70-300vr + Kenko 1.4x PRO300 TC
This was taken with the Kenko 1.4xTC attached to the 70-300vr...
I found the focus work OK with the TC attached, but you need to have good light.
But I will be trying it in dimmer light to see just how well it can perform...
